A Mobile Maritime City The ADORA-Magic City is here
Gazing at the blue sky and sea from the deck,
enjoying a steaming hot pot in the restaurant,
listening to beautiful melodies in the theater,
and admiring the vast sea view by the outdoor pool – sailing the world on
the Chinese-made "ADORA-Magic City" cruise is a dream and source of immense pride for many.
Adorned with the "Dunhuang Flying Apsaras" and facing the sea,
the ADORA-Magic City is the first large-scale domestically produced cruise ship,
a marvel that integrates diverse global influences and Chinese cultural essence.
The ship's name, "Magic City," highlights its pursuit in product, artistic,
and experiential design – aiming to create a sea holiday experience through "fantasy magic, cultural fusion, and trendy modernity."
The dream of Chinese people sailing the world on a domestically produced cruise ship becomes a reality through this grand spectacle.
Crafted as a major production collaboration between Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.,
China Shipbuilding Technology Development Co., Ltd., and its subsidiary ADORA Cruises Co., Ltd.,
the debut of the ADORA-Magic City has captured global attention. With a total tonnage of 135,000 tons and 20 decks,
the ship features facilities such as restaurants, theaters,
and gyms in over 40,000 square meters of public areas, resembling a "mobile maritime city" that leaves observers in awe.

Behind the Wind and Waves Lies Chinese Manufacturing The ADORA-Magic City
symbolizing "setting sail from Shanghai, reaching the world,"
signifies not only a massive vessel but also reflects the nation's capabilities in equipment construction and overall technological prowess.
Its extraordinary nature is not just about being a giant ship but marks a significant milestone for China's cruise industry,
showcasing a breakthrough from inception to reality.
"Chinese manufacturing" is the spiritual core of the ADORA-Magic City,
representing a resolute commitment to come from China,
spread to China, and envelop the world. To generate anticipation ahead of the launch of the first domestically produced cruise ship,
China State Shipbuilding Corporation chose Weihangyun, a local Chinese ship model manufacturing company,
based on their successful collaboration with Viking Cruises in model customization.
This solidified Weihangyun as the designated partner for cruise model customization for two leading Chinese cruise companies – Viking Cruises and ADORA Cruises,
creating a distinct "maritime business card."

Between Magnification and Reduction Loaded with Exceptional Artistry
In late July 2023, the ADORA-Magic City model customization project officially commenced.
Reviewing the timeline of ship development reveals the high level, difficulty,
intricacy, and urgency of the customization process, demanding 100% precision and quality control surpassing European benchmarks.
To meet the tight deadline,
the Weihangyun team swiftly mobilized,
starting from scratch, progressing from 3D drawings to prototype production,
mold creation, packaging design, and large-scale production.
With efficient execution in each step, meticulous attention to detail and quality control,
the team successfully delivered 1,000 sets of cruise ship models in two different finishes (alloy version and electroplated version) within three months,
ahead of the October deadline.
Zooming in on the details reveals the complexity of the hull's painting process,
requiring precise positioning and individual hand-drawn detailing to achieve a perfect match with the actual ship.
The electroplated version showcases comprehensive anodizing treatment,
portraying a strong industrial metal texture. Details such as water slides, climbing ropes,
and amusement parks on the cruise ship are faithfully reproduced. Furthermore,
intricate elements like windows, nameplates, chimneys,
and even the design of the blue base and exquisite packaging box reflect Weihangyun's pursuit of excellence,
enhancing the charismatic image of the ADORA-Magic City.
While it may seem like a simple process of magnification and reduction,
it encapsulates the unwavering and exceptional craftsmanship of the ADORA-Magic City,
presenting a captivating and profound cultural journey to the world – a privilege for all involved.
04 True Quality Derives from Interaction
Many wonder what kind of brand stands the test of time and continues to be favored.
In Weihangyun's years of experience, they believe that "a good brand stems from deep culture and genuine quality,
and this quality precisely originates from interaction with customers
and the market because feedback is the sole standard for testing practice."
The ADORA-Magic City model customization project is a prime example of this philosophy.
Scaling from 1,000 sets to 2,850 sets,
from the ship's hotel to various other departments, from Weihangyun to clients,
to the market, and finally to consumers – in becoming a classic,
Weihangyun consistently stands on the "shoulders of giants," progressing from small steps to significant strides.
From top domestic shipping companies to broader global interactions,
they continuously strive for higher, farther, and stronger achievements.
As of New Year's Day 2024, the ADORA-Magic City is set to officially enter service,
sailing international cruise routes from its homeport in Shanghai.
It will also launch a timely Silk Road cruise route,
allowing the wisdom and strength of the ancient Silk Road to continue its journey in the 21st century on the maritime Silk Road,
showcasing the robust capabilities of "Made in China" on a larger stage.

Building a City in 5 Years Pioneering an "Ocean Bridge" in 11 Years Described
by some as "building a sea city in 5 years,"
the ADORA-Magic City truly lives up to this description. Over 1,000 days and nights,
with tens of thousands of drawings and thousands of construction workers toiling day and night,
China's first domestically produced large-scale cruise ship set sail,
becoming the most dazzling gem in the crown of China's shipbuilding industry.
This also marks China's achievement of possessing the "three pearls" in shipbuilding – the ability to simultaneously construct aircraft carriers,
large liquefied natural gas transport ships, and large cruise ships.
On the other side of maritime transport,
persisting for 11 years and collaborating with an increasing number of leading shipping companies,
Weihangyun, using ship models as a medium,
continues to deeply cultivate the path of maritime culture dissemination.
Constantly driving innovation and creation in maritime culture, contributing to "Made in China" with brand strength,
they have become pioneers and leaders in this niche field,
creating the "ocean bridge" that conveys global maritime culture.
